About Erin E. Ducat DC, CSCS, FIAMA, CKTP
Dr. Erin Ducat is an enthusiastic member of the Bloomingdale community where she and her husband Steve share their home with four lively cats. After becoming unable to enjoy her childhood passion of classical violin performance after an injury, she now enjoys participating in active sports such as golfing, running, and weight training. She lives the same type of lifestyle that she recommends to her patients–whole body wellness.
Why did Dr. Ducat become a chiropractor? At age 5, she saw the benefits of chiropractic care first-hand. Her 18-month old brother suddenly stopped walking and crawling. After several visits to pediatricians, one of the doctors suggested a chiropractor. Skeptical at first, Dr. Ducat’s mother knew that since pain medications did not help her son, she had to try something else. The chiropractor gently adjusted the young boy’s pelvis and hips, which stopped the pain, making it possible for him to walk again. Since then, Dr. Ducat’s whole family understands how and believes that people can be helped through chiropractic care.
Dr. Ducat is a graduate of the National University of Health Sciences in Lombard, IL, where she earned her Doctor of Chiropractic degree and a B.S. in Human Biology. She also attended Trinity Christian College in Palos Heights, IL where she received a B.A. in Biology.
Always keeping on the forefront of medical advances, Dr. Ducat has obtained several post-graduate certifications including: Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), National Strength and Conditioning Association, Fellow (FIAMA), International Academy of Medical Acupuncture and Certified Kinesiotape Practitioner (CKTP), Kinesio-USA . She is currently completing the coursework to become a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician (CCSP) through Northwestern University of Health Sciences.
Ducat Chiropractic & Wellness Center started accepting chiropractic patients in March, 2008. Since then, it has expanded to offer Medical Acupuncture, Rehabilitation and Massage Therapy services to the community with friendly, minimum-wait appointments to accommodate our patients’ on-the-go lifestyles.
