One of the most dangerous 6 words in the English language are “Maybe it will just go away…” While sticking your head in the sand doesn’t help most problems, it’s especially dangerous with low back pain.
Low back pain can originate from several different sources including the joints and muscles of the low back, but can also come from disease in internal organs (Kidneys, intestinal tract etc.) or from pressure on the delicate nerves of the spinal cord itself.
The following symptoms, when occurring with low back pain, deserve further evaluation by a chiropractic physician. Just remember, you don’t want to BACKSLIDE:
Bowel or bladder problems
Anesthesia (numbness) in the extremities, genitals or other areas
Chest Pain
Kinesis Problems (difficulty moving your extremities)
Shortness of Breath
Lightheadedness
Infection (fever)
Damage (history of trauma to the back)
Endless Pain (pain continues for more than 1-2 days)
