By now all of us are probably feeling the affects of Thanksgiving dinner and are sitting on the couch planning out the holiday season, which most likely includes lots of eating and drinking! So while you’re sitting on the couch, let’s think ahead into January. What are your fitness and health goals for 2016? What type of plan do you have? How are you going to meet and exceed your expectations?
The team at Ducat Chiropractic & Sports Medicine has been hard at work this fall putting together an impressive line up of tools that you can use to help you meet your fitness goals no matter what they are and where you need to start.
Is pain keeping you from being active? If so, you’ll want to start your journey with a visit with me, the chiropractor. I’ll listen to your concerns and determine why pain is keeping you from achieving more. From there we’ll put together a plan to get you back on track, most likely using a combination of chiropractic adjustments, stretching, and rehab exercises. Since there is medical necessity for my services at this point, your health insurance helps pick up the tab. Once the pain is gone, I’ll help you transition to the next step. Call our office at 224-653-8094 to schedule today.
Are you no longer in pain, but coming back from an injury or know that you are injury prone when it comes to working out? Schedule an assessment and training session with Sam Flores, our strength and conditioning expert. He can let you know where you need to become more flexible or develop strength so that you can move well. He can also help you decide if individual training sessions are the best way to start your journey or if a group setting will work well for you. Sam has a variety of clients and he can cater a fitness plan to your needs. Individual training sessions are available for as low as $55. Call our office at 224-653-8094 to schedule today.
Do you enjoy working out in a group setting and want to push your fitness to the next level without injuring yourself? If so, Smart Group Training is for you. Taught by Sam at the Itasca Park District on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7:00am starting in January, this class combines the best of personal training and the best of group fitness into one, allowing you to experience the personal attention, results, and guidance of a personal trainer combined with the low price, and fun atmosphere of a group. Each 8 week session includes a complementary functional movement screening with Sam to help you meet your goals with a cost of $85 for Itasca Residents and $105 for non-residents. That’s as low as $10.63 a class! There’s also a couple of free sessions you can try in December to see if this is the right fit for you. Are you interested in building your cardiovascular fitness by running a 5k? Dr. Ducat will be hosting her popular Walk to Run class at the Roselle Park District starting on January 23rd to train for the April Fools 5k Run on April 2nd in Bloomingdale. Designed for those who can walk for 30 minutes, she will coach you through becoming a runner through an incremental training program and mini-workshops held over the 10 week class. Don’t worry! We have an indoor track to use during inclement weather. The program cost is $30 for residents of Roselle, Bloomingdale, Medinah, Itasca, Wood Dale and Bartlett. For non-residents, the cost is $40.
