After you meet your goals in active care (i.e. you feel awesome and move great!) it’s now time to maintain the progress you worked so hard to get.
I will give you a home exercise plan to keep up with and it’s important to exercise and move often. Keeping your diet clean and eating lots of healthy fats and a vegetables help your inflammation stay low and joints happy. And research shows that getting adjusted regularly helps keep your body moving well, which in turn helps your function better and experience less pain!
I’m so excited that we’ve added a few extra minutes to our wellness visits so that we can do our NEW pre-adjustment screening and discover areas of your body that are not moving well — even if you don’t know about it or have any symptoms.
In the last 10 days, I’ve found out that some patients have needed their feet adjusted, lacked hip flexibility or cannot reach behind their back. Getting those spots improved is key…preventing pain later this year and helping them move with more ease now. Sometimes you don’t know how tight you are until you can move better!
Check out my video to see me take Steve through the screening. We get to see some areas that are obviously not moving well, yet he has no symptoms. This will help me guide his adjustment and provide him with the BEST results.
If you already have a wellness visit scheduled, we will be taking you through this screening the next time you come in to see me. If it’s been a while since you’ve been in for a wellness visit or are thinking that you are ready to make regular chiropractic care a part of your routine in 2019, schedule your visit online or give us a call. A brief wellness visit is affordably priced at $50 and is a qualified HSA or flex spending expense!
