What if I need to reschedule my appointment, am running late or have an emergency?
Who has time to wait at the doctor’s office, right?

 

It’s our goal to respect your time and see you promptly at your scheduled appointment. 

To accomplish this task, we do not double book appointments — which means that we often have limited ability to reschedule or move your appointment, especially within 24 hrs of your scheduled time.  We are more than happy to strategize with you to find times that will work with your schedule and minimize the need to move your appointments.

To keep our care accessible for patients in pain, we ask for patients to avoid rescheduling or cancelling appointments with less than 48 hrs notice.   If you cancel or reschedule your appointment with less than 24 hrs notice, your card on file will be charged the value of the scheduled appointment.  As a small practice, it is difficult to fill appointment times with short notice.

To keep things fair for all patients, we hold to a strict 24 hr window. 

What this means is if you get your appointment reminder text/email the day before your appointment, it’s locked in.  The fee is waived if you have a true emergency such as a life threatening situation, sudden death, car accident on the way to the office etc.  If this has occurred, please call or email us and let us know the nature of your emergency as soon as possible.  Believe us, it’s not our goal to charge fees.  We much rather see you for your appointment and help you get better!

 

If you arrive late for your visit, we will do our best to accommodate you.
We may have to reduce your time with the doctor/therapist or perhaps have you wait until the next opening in the schedule, if there is one.

If you miss your appointment time and there are no other appointments slots available later or you choose not to wait, you will be assessed a no-show fee of at the rates listed above.  If you are late and we reduce your time with the doctor/therapist, you will be charged for the entire scheduled visit.   We hate to do this, but it’s the only fair way to handle the situation.

 

If you need to reschedule your appointment and it’s more than 24 hours in advance, you can do so by three methods.

You can reschedule online 24/7 through one of these options:

1) Initial Confirmation Email - You can reschedule your appointment by using the “Change/Cancel My Appointment” button in your initial confirmation email you received from us when making your appointment (so don't delete those emails!).  Once you click on that button, our online scheduling system will let you know other times that are available and you can make the switch whenever it’s convenient for you.   

2) Setting Up An Account - You can also reschedule and schedule appointments through your own unique account in our scheduling software.  To create an account, simply schedule an appointment online.  When the confirmation window pops up, there will be a box that says "Register For An Account."  Click on that link and follow the prompts to set your password.  Your user id will be your email.  When you want to schedule or reschedule appointments, go to our online scheduling page and click on the log in link on the top right corner.  Use your user id and password to log in.  The program will then allow you to make appointments, reschedule or cancel any of your appointments online.

Please note that if you click on the “Online Scheduling” link on our website without logging into an account, due to security concerns you will NOT be able to reschedule your appointment through that system. It only allows you to make new appointments.
